A common complaint is that too many interfaces lack texture ,identity & have a very sterile appearance.( Many interfaces & the colour schemes are also interchangeable if you view them via image search. TouchOSC Editor comes with template layout sizes for iPhone / iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone 5, but you can also generate models of custom sizes by manually. Layout Size can be any of a list of presets or a fully custom size. These properties can be edited in the property panel on the left when no controls are currently selected in the editing view.

A touch screen user does not have much choice. The touch screen software is functional & serves many requirements but is usually tonally out of place with the software it's supposed to support or bridge. TouchOSC layouts have two defining properties, size and orientation. Create, edit and display surtitles with an ergonomic interface : you do everything in one place. Users are always seeking new products because some are unstable or may become unsupported without any advance notification. The user base is also driven by coders who emphasise utility but overlook or sacrifice design & integration.Ī user will choose a daw or multimedia software because of it's design, interface & workflow. Touch screen software is competing with a mouse or trackball & dedicated hardware so sales will be limited.
User indignation seeking software to control software. The tuner view fills the entire screen so you can easily see it from a distance. You can adjust the concert reference pitch from its default of 440 Hz to suit your own needs. All output will be silenced automatically while you're in tuning mode.

( Lemur & TouchOSC applications were available on Android & iOS tablets in 2010 ) The perception is that the daw manufacturers are not going to provide full support as their software has to be rebuilt & the touch screen interfaces will also compete with hardware. You can toggle into the tuner view from any other view and toggle right back as soon as you're done. Multi touch software has been neglected on desktops.
Many Gs posters are frustrated with hardware controllers but touch screen users are also frustrated. I made sure that both Reaktor and Touch OSC (editor) were set to "allow" (they had been set to auto).I think a touchscreen midi software directory is overdue & would be helpful to showcase whats available & possible. And also support, encourage & provide feedback to developers without having to register on boards or message them. TouchOSC continued to crash until I changed the iPhone's port in Reaktor back to 10000.īTW, I have Norton Internet security installed on my Laptop. When I changed the iPhone port to 10015 in Reaktor, TouchOSC crashed on my iPhone. In TouchOSC, the incoming porrt is set to 10015. Shouldn't iPhone show up in OSC sources? iPhone only shows up as an OSC target. If the knob is meant to recieve OSC control shouldn't it be listed in OSC targets instead? I called the knob "Vol" and noticed that it shows up in the OSC sources listing (as did the OSC recieve modules). I deleted the OSC recieve modules and just placed a knob in my instrument (only control present).
How do I differeniate a send and receive port? I've tried adding iPhone/Ip address/10015, but then the previous iPhone entry with port 10000 is overwritten.
